Welcome to this wonderful program that has evolved out of several cooperations between the Saturday Schools of the Washington, DC metro region.
Please find below a short summary of the benefits that the programs brings for the participating families and schools. That's on top of the fun factor!

The program is open to students between 5 and 14 years old, with an emphasis of students between the ages of 6 and 13.
Students are divided into age groups as soon as the number of enrolled students allows it.

SATURDAY SOCCER SERIES BENEFITS
For Our Saturday Students
- motivation to master the language (naturally needed to participate in the training) - the motivation then comes from student him/herself, not from the parents,
- identity (wearing the team colors and being part of a group that is identified by the language),
- learning great soccer skills,
- using the language to do something interesting (it answers the "why" that so many of our children ask, especially the 6 to 9 year-olds),
- being part of a team,
- integrating the language much more with little to no perceived effort,
- associating the language with natural reflexes and real-life action (instead of mostly sitting behind a desk on Saturdays),
- improving their native vocabulary.
For Parents
- simpler logistics (compared to complicated travel team schedules),
- easier motivation of their children,
- identity without it coming from/being pushed by the parents (parents and students are on the same side.)
For Saturday School Teachers
- have more motivated students,
- that have better active language skills,
- especially in the critical ages 6 to 9 where the resistance is often the strongest.
